I am wondering what would be best to get a job in the commercial real estate business. I have a college degree. I heard that a sales person license is sufficient and the firm might not want you to have a brokers license so you don’t do your own thing .
My understanding is you do not need to be licensed to get a CCIM designation, or work in the commercial real estate field. But can anyone point me to a reference, or a place where I can get more information.

What is the course/experience requirements to obtain a commercial real estate broker license in Texas?
I know you must take course and Ive tried searching online but my results are vague bc I dont exactly know what Im looking for. Can you simply go to one of those week-long real estate schools like residential real estate licensing? And what are the qualities that help a person succeed in commercial real estate sales? Is this a young person’s game? Can you start and succeed at middle age? Would like to bank 70k-100k? Is this reasonable?
